Our ethos

Ethical. Not woke.

We build apps that respect users — not virtue-signal at them. User welfare is the test, applied to every fork in the road. Apps serve users; values stay yours.

Nine principles

1

Companions to your life

Apps that integrate with the natural arcs of life. Travel. Memory. Sharing. Learning. Designed to slot in where you actually need them — not to manufacture a need so they can stay.

2

Simplify, don't waste

Reduce friction. Do not manufacture engagement. No infinite scroll. No streaks. No notification bait. Earn return visits with usefulness, not with hooks.

3

Ethics, not politics

User welfare is the test — not alignment with any political flavour of the month. Apps serve users; values stay yours. We are explicit about what we will and will not build, and the criteria do not move with the news cycle.

4

No in-app upsells

One price. All features. No premium gating, no nagging, no "pro tier" hiding the bits that should ship by default. Subscription pricing is honest pricing — the same product for everyone who pays for it.

5

Default to ethical

On every fork in the road: ethics over expediency. Pre-decided, so the decision is not re-litigated in the moment. The discipline is encoded into every PRD and every architectural choice — and it shapes the same kinds of decisions on every app in the portfolio.

6

Your data is yours

No data sale. No surveillance advertising. Full export of your data, at any time, in formats you can use. Subscription-only monetisation means the customer is the customer — not the product.

7

No harm done

We don't ask intrusive questions, we protect privacy, and we don't create apps that could exploit or take advantage of other people.

8

No harmful AI

No posthumous chatbots. No voice cloning without consent. No deepfakes. Ever. AI is a building block, not a licence to recreate or impersonate people for the entertainment of anyone else.

9

No virtue signalling

We do not perform our values for an audience. We do not stamp logos on the site to claim moral credit, and we do not weigh in on the cause of the week to look on the right side of it. The ethos shows up in the product decisions on this page — what we will and will not build, what we will and will not monetise. That is the only place values count.

What we won't build

Anti-criteria.

Some categories are pre-decided "no". If a founder applies with an idea that falls into any of these, the answer is no — independent of how compelling the rest of the pitch is.

Standards alignment

ISO 42001 and BS 25800, by design.

Every app is built against ISO 42001 (AI Management Systems) and BS 25800 (Safeguarding) from day one. Standards alignment is a discipline written into every PRD and every architectural decision — not a marketing claim.
